If you love pizza, then you probably love stromboli! Stromboli is pretty much pizza, just all rolled up. This stromboli is so easy to make. Just unroll and press out canned pizza dough onto a baking sheet, fill with your favorite pizza toppings, fold the dough over, sprinkle with olive oil and Italian seasoning and bake! To see how I fold the dough over the fillings, watch my stomboli video.
In this recipe, I fill the stromboli with pepperoni and provolone, but you can use any pizza toppings you’d like. This stomboli is best when served with your favorite marinara sauce (homemade or from a jar).
- Extra virgin olive oil
- 2 cans Pillsbury pizza dough
- 1 lb wide pepperoni sliced
- 1 1/2 lb sharp provolone sliced
- Italian seasoning
- Your favorite marinara sauce for dipping
Spread a bit of extra virgin olive oil on cookie sheet.
Unroll and place one can of pizza dough on cookie sheet and press out.
Layer pepperoni then provolone across the middle of the dough lengthwise.
Flip one side of dough over meat and cheese, then layer pepperoni and provolone again, and flip other side of dough over second layer of meat and cheese.
Pinch edges closed.
With your hand, spread olive oil on top. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
Bake at 400°F for 15-20 minutes.
Makes 2 stromboli.
